We are pleased to share that the USDA awarded Leicester Elementary School the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant for this school year. Please click HERE to read the letter to Parent/Guardians. As part of USDA’s Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program, our elementary students will have a free fresh fruit and vegetable snack during the school day! The program expands the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience while increasing children’s fruit and vegetable consumption!  Beginning in August, elementary students will get a free fresh fruit or vegetable snack every Monday,Wednesday and Friday!  Fruits and vegetables will be a mix of both local produce as well as some unique food items that may be new to many students.
